Shandaken Soccer Club
AYSO Region 732 serves the Towns of Woodstock and Shandaken in Ulster County, New York. There are two soccer clubs, one in Village of Woodstock and one in Mt. Tremper in the the Town of Shandaken. This is the site for the Shandaken Soccer Club.
We run a Fall and Spring program each season, plus a small indoor winter program. The fall program generally begins mid-August and runs through early November, weather permitting. Spring program generally begins in April and ends in June. The division a player falls into is determined by the child’s age on July 31st (the AYSO season begins August 1st). Divisions are U-6 (under 6 years old on July 31st), U-8, U-10, U-12 and U-14. U-6′s don’t play games, but the other divisions play teams from AYSO Saugerties.
Our governing body is The American Youth Soccer Organization, which mandates, among other things, that we run an all-volunteer club. The AYSO website has a wealth of resources for coaches, players and parents.
Practice for U-6, U-8, U-10 as well as home field games for U-8 and U-10 is at the Emerson Field in Mt. Tremper, NY.
